Island Batik

It is a Meadow Hues Fabric Line Blog Hop

This is my third post like this and it never gets old. I’m so pleased and proud to talk about my signature fabric lines with Island Batik. This line is a bit of a departure from my usual color palettes. It is filled with, purples, pinks and greens and I fell in love with the fabrics as soon as I saw them. They are shipping to stores in February 2025 so ask for them at your local quilt shop. The fabrics are also available in various online shops. Grab a cup of coffee and join because it is a Meadow Hues Fabric Line Blog Hop.

I asked 6 quilt designers to help me kick off this fabric debut. From March 2 – March 9 these awesome quilters will be blogging about what they made with some of these fabrics. You can find the complete schedule below. Make sure to read all the way to the end of this post because I’m having a giveaway!

You can see all of the fabrics up close and personal in my video.

Meadow Hues

Just look at all of those gorgeous fabrics. They remind me of an early summer day. Not only are the colors lovely and rich, the designs are full of florals.

Blog Hop Participants

The six designers had their choice of fabrics from the line and came up with some beautiful projects. Here’s the schedule. Make sure to stop by all of them and see what they made.

The Quilts I Designed

I’ve designed four patterns with this fabric line. Each one is now available in my Etsy shop.

Rosebuds

Rosebuds is made for an intermediate level quilter. It has a more traditional look and the fabrics shine when offset by a lovely background fabric. It is available in both Digital (PDF) and Paper versions.

Flower Dance

Look carefully at Flower Dance because it may look like it’s the same block repeated, but there is a little bit of a difference. They are made two different ways so it almost looks like the blocks are dancing with each other.

Flower Dance is precut friendly and a confident beginner would have fun making this quilt. The pattern is available in both a Digital (PDF) version and a paper one in my shop.

Pop Heart

Ideal for an intermediate level quilter, the unique shading in the pattern really makes the hearts pop. It makes a fun throw quilt that anyone would love.

Pop Heart is precut friendly and even has a bonus table runner pattern for some of the left over half square triangles that are created. The pattern is available in both a Digital (PDF) version and a paper one in my shop.

Willow

My new table runner pattern Willow is perfect for your table setting. It is designed for an intermediate level quilter and looks lovely in so many different color combinations. The pattern is available in both a Digital (PDF) version and a paper one in my shop.

I am very happy with the patterns I designed for the Meadow Hues collection. They range from modern and a little flirty to traditional and classic.

Choosing a favorite fabric is almost impossible because the combination of colors and prints is what makes this fabric line so wonderful! Together they glow and dance! If I have to pick though, the darkest purple is my favorite. Your quilts are beautiful!
