This year I decided to join a wonderful quilting event called Quilt Block Mania. Every month designers come up with a quilt block pattern that corresponds to a particular topic. This month’s topic was drinks. We can come up with any design we want and I decided to come up with something that is important in so many drinks. Join me as I show you how to make a modern 3d quilt block.

It’s a fun and quirky block that, when made in particular colors, resembles ice cubes. The nice thing is that it can be recolored to fit whatever mood you are in when you are making it.

I don’t know about you, but when I want a cold drink I always love to have it loaded up with ice cubes.
